Rory Daniel is a client-focused commercial photographer based in Fitzroy, Melbourne, Australia. His clients include companies operating in the architecture, engineering, retail, legal, banking & finance, hospitality, education, and medical industries.
Clients throughout Australia and Asia have put their trust in Rory for 22 years, having faith in his creativity and integrity, to make images that sell their idea, products, and services.
His visual style is clean, considered, balanced, energetic and compelling, creating images that catch the eye. This Is achieved through working closely with his clients, understanding their brand, and focusing on the commercial needs of the images being made. Rory Daniel holds a Master of Photography degree (with distinction) from RMIT University
ARCHITECTURE PHOTOGRAPHY – Rory is particularly passionate about his architectural work. He spends time exploring a building or structure, studying its elevations, secret angles, and hero angles – finding its ‘essence’. He works closely with architects, property developers, interior designers, and retailers /merchandisers on their projects, going to extra effort to understand and capture their visions.
Architectural Clients include DP Architects, CPG Architects, Alchemy Constructions, Surbana Jurong, and Grant and Associates Architects, as well as developers - Capitalands, CDL, Perennial, and OEU.
Retailer clients include Ralph Lauren, Seed, Chanel, Pernod Ricard, L'Oreal Paris, and Brooks Brothers.
HOSPITALITY PHOTOGRAPHY – Rory understands the unique character of the hospitality industry, having photographed hundreds of restaurants and hotels throughout Asia and Australia. This means being a part of your team – collaborating and working closely with your chefs and marketing department.
He has shot over a dozen Shangri-la Hotels and Resorts properties and for over 15 leading luxury hotel brands including Hilton Hotels and Resorts, the Fairmont Group, and W Hotels. These shoots aren’t limited to room shots – Rory shoots the architecture, hotel service staff, management in action, and the restaurant’s food and beverages. All with their property’s unique brand and visual language.
Hospitality clients include, Shangri La Hotels and Resorts, Raffles Hotel - Singapore, Goodwood Park Hotel Singapore, Fairmont Hotels, Starwood Group, The Hilton Group of Hotels.
INDUSTRIAL / BUSINESS PHOTOGRAPHY – Having worked for Accenture in a past life, and with a business degree from Monash University, Rory understands the business language of marketing. He understands your priorities and business needs. This combined with his well-developed creative side makes him ideally suited for producing annual reports and business marketing images. He starts with your brand, then extends the conversation to what your images need to do, He then solves your visual 'problems’ with inspiring and eye-catching images that tell your marketing story.
Clients include BHP Billiton, Macquarie Bank, The Port Authority of Singapore, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore, Air Liquide, Thales, Soitec, and Singapore National Parks.
CORPORATE HEADSHOTS – There is an art to corporate headshots, and Rory has all the tricks and experience to make your teams look sharp and professional.
